The terms you agree to, what data we hold, and how refunds work.
By creating an account or buying access to Key Change Lab ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Key Change Lab is an educational web app for learning guitar theory — lessons, chord voicings, a progression lab, a songbook, and related tools. A one-time payment of USD $19.99 unlocks full access ("Pro") for your account. Some features are available for free without payment.
The lessons, text, diagrams, and tools are provided for your personal learning. You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, resell, or republish the Service's content, or use it to build a competing product, without written permission.
Anything you author in the app — your songs, progressions, and notes ("Your Content") — stays yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display it back to you. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you enter.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. The purchase is a one-time charge, not a subscription. Prices and features may change, but a change won't remove access you've already paid for.
We work to keep the Service running but don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
The Service is provided "as is," for education. It is not professional musical, financial, or other advice. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it.
You can stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms (for example, sharing or reselling access, or abusing the systems).
These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

This explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it minimal — we don't sell your data or run ad trackers.
We use your browser's local storage to keep your work and preferences on your device. It's essential to how the app works — not third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
We don't sell your personal information, and we only share what's needed to run the Service or to comply with the law.
We keep account data while your account exists. You can export your data from the app at any time (Saved → backup), and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Some records (like a payment receipt) may be retained where the law requires.
Passwords are hashed, access uses tokens, and payment is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
The Service isn't directed at children under [13 / 16 per your region], and we don't knowingly collect their data.
You can access, export, or delete your data as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (to correct or restrict processing, or to complain to a regulator). Data is stored on servers located in [REGION, e.g. the US / EU].
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Questions: [SUPPORT EMAIL].
Full access is a one-time USD $19.99 purchase. If it's not for you, email [SUPPORT EMAIL] within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you in full — no need to explain why.
Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] from the address on your account, mentioning the purchase. We aim to reply within a couple of business days.
Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. After a refund, your account returns to the free tier.
Past 14 days we generally don't offer refunds, but if something's genuinely wrong — you were charged twice, or access didn't unlock — contact us and we'll make it right.
If you have a problem, please email us first; we can almost always sort it out faster than a bank dispute. Accounts with fraudulent chargebacks may lose access.
This policy is in addition to any refund or cancellation rights you have under consumer law where you live (for example, EU/UK rights for digital purchases), which we honor.
