Major Pentatonic

1 · 2 · 3 · 5 · 6

The no-wrong-notes default over any diatonic major progression: it's the major scale with both tension tones (the 4 and the 7) removed, so every note you land on is somebody's chord tone or a friendly neighbor. Country, southern rock, and gospel live here. If the progression is majors and minors from one key, this scale cannot embarrass you.
